Introduction

By the grace of Allah, Dawat-e-Islami is a renowned global peaceful Islamic, non-political organization working to convey the message of Quran and Sunnah. It is committed to promote education and authentic religious guidance amongst humanity and a true peaceful and beautiful picture of Islam. The aim of Dawat-e-Islami is to achieve personal and collective harmony based on the following mission statement: “I must strive to reform myself and the people of the entire world”.

Dawat-e-Islami was established in 1981 by his Eminence Hazrat Molana Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadri, a truly inspirational, far-sighted and visionary individual who has changed the lives of millions across the world by giving them a purpose of life portrayed by Islam and making them constructive and valuable members of the wider society.

Dawat-e-Islami UK

Dawat-e-Islami was founded in the city of Karachi (Pakistan), where its headquarter is situated and is a centre for spiritual teachings. Due to the sincerity and diligence of the honourable founder, the peaceful message of Dawat-e-Islami has now reached across the world and is being welcomed with open arms to the extent that it has received recognition for its work from various governments across the globe. Dawat-e-Islami is recognised and registered as a charitable educational organisation in many Western countries too such as America, UK, Canada and also in South Africa.

Message of Dawat-e-Islami reached UK in early 1990s. It continued its mission to spread the word of Islam through its call to righteousness. Later on 03rd May 2005, it was formally incorporated. Dawat-E-Islami UK’s Head Office is located at: Faizan-e-Madinah, Maudsley Street, Bradford, BD3 9LE and its registered charity number is: 1110114.

Centres of Dawat-e-Islami UK

Dawat-E-Islami UK has expanded its valuable works intensely for the religious needs of UK’s Muslim population in specific. Currently Dawat-E-Islami UK has over 60 centres alone in the UK. Most of them are Masajid and community centres in order to meet the religious needs of Muslims across the country. Nearly all the main cites of UK have centres of Dawat-E-Islami UK which include, East London, West London, Southend-on-Sea, Slough, Luton, Aylesbury, Birmingham, Leicester, Nottingham, Walsall, Dudley, Darby, Bristol, Newport, Stoke on Trent, Coventry, Bradford, Manchester, Leeds, Bolton, Preston, Blackburn, Oldham, Burnley, Burry, Rochdale, Sheffield, Rotherham, Newcastle upon Tyne, Halifax, Middlesbrough, Accrington, Stockton-On-Tees, East Kilbride and Glasgow.

These centres are not only serving Muslims in order for them to meet their religious needs but also working hard to educate true Islamic teachings to our new generations. Their moral upbringing and character building is also part and parcel of its targets. These centres hold various events on different occasions to keep our youngsters busy in constructive and learning activates. These events also tackles burnings issues like knife crime and drugs so as to keep youngsters away from such harmful activities.
